The Chamber Opera of Washington is a Washington, DC area based producer with the goal of presenting operas to challenge audiences through an unconventional approach to the genre.
We kicked off our series with Bellini's "I Capuleti e i Montecchi." In the Fall of 2008 we will present Verdi's masterpiece "La traviata."
Due to the fact that our artistic leadership are actively pursuing their performing careers, productions at this point are sparse and on project basis. We hope to solve this issue within two years time, presenting first one opera per season and then two.
